Handcrafted in Solingen, Germany, this handsome time-tested Boker Cox Folder is approximately 3 3/4 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 3.0 ounces. The handle is Machined G-10 and Solid Titanium with a belt clip. This knife utilizes a 2 5/8" Curved Wharncliffe blade. The blade is Damascus Steel. Damascus blades are made by welding/forging together a few hundred layers of hard and soft steel and then etch with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility and toughness to the steel, and the hard and soft in the edge act much like serrations and aid cutting. The beautiful patterns in Damascus blades are unmatched! The Back-spring is etched with an Individual Serial Number.
