Handcrafted in Solingen, Germany, this handsome time-tested Boker Lockback Hunter is approximately 5 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 5.6 ounces. The handle is Ivory Micarta with a Lanyard Hole. The bolsters are Nickel Silver and the Back Spring is stamped with an Individual Serial Number. This knife utilizes a 3 1/2" Locking Drop Point blade. The blades are Damascus Steel. Damascus blades are made by welding/forging together a few hundred layers of hard and soft steel and then etch with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility and toughness to the steel, and the hard and soft in the edge act much like serrations and aid cutting. The beautiful patterns in Damascus blades are unmatched! The knife is presented in a Black, Wooden Boker Display Box with a Red, Nylon Boker Knife Pouch.
