The handle is Walnut Wood engraved with 'OLD HICKORY'. This knife utilizes a 2 7/8" Spey blade with a plain edge, 2mm thickness and nail hole. The blade material is 1075 Carbon Steel. Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.
