This knife utilizes a 2 7/8" Skinner blade. Stamped with pattern number 3137 CS, the blade is highly polished Carbon Steel. Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.
