This timeless KA-BAR Cutlass Machete is approximately 16 1/2 inches long (total) and weighs approximately 1 pound(s) 2.2 ounces. The handle is textured Black Thermoplastic Rubber with intergrated retension pommel and a lanyard hole. This knife utilizes a 11" Cutlass recurved blade with a hollow grind, 90-degree spine edge and 4mm(0.165") thickness. The blade material is SK5 Carbon Steel(52-54HRC) with a Black finish. Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly. The knife is presented with a Hard Plastic & Cordura Belt Sheath.
