Handcrafted in the U.S.A., this master-crafted Benchmade Bailout Axis Lock is about 4 3/4 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 2.7 ounces. The contoured handle is smooth Bead-blasted 6AL4V Titanium (manufactured in the USA) with an ambidextrous Axis lock, Blue PVD coated hardware, jimping for a secure grip, Crater Blue anodized aluminum lanyard slot, and a reversible tip-up deep-carry pocket clip. This knife utilizes a 3 3/4" Locking Tanto blade with a plain edge, swedge, 2.3mm (0.09") thickness, and thumb studs. The blade material is CPM M4 Carbon Steel with a Cobalt Black Cerakote finish and 62-64HRC hardness. Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.
