This handsome CIVIVI Vaquita II Fixed Blade is approximately 3 1/8 inches long (total) and weighs approximately 1.3 ounces. The handle is contoured Black Linen Micarta with a lanyard hole. This knife utilizes a 3 1/8" Kukri blade with a plain edge, flat grind, 2.3mm(0.1") thickness and thumb ramp. The blade material is Damascus Steel. Damascus Steel is made by forging & folding together layers of hard & soft steel, and then etching them with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility & toughness to the steel, and the hard & soft in the edge act much like micro-serrations that aid cutting. The knife is presented with a Black Kydex Sheath and Neck Chain.
