This knife utilizes a 2 1/4" Drop Point blade with a plain edge, hollow grind, 2.5mm (0.1") thickness, swedge and spine jimping. The blade material is Damascus Steel. Damascus Steel is made by forging & folding together hundreds of layers of hard & soft steel, and then etching them with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility & toughness to the steel, and the hard & soft in the edge act much like micro-serrations that aid cutting.
