This handsome CIVIVI Starflare Button Lock is approximately 4 5/8 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 3.5 ounces. The handle is Red Aluminum with a button lock and reversible tip-up pocket clip. This knife utilizes a 3 3/8" Locking Wharncliffe blade with a plain edge, flat grind, 3mm (0.12") thickness, and thumb studs. The blade material is Damascus Steel. Damascus Steel is made by forging & folding together hundreds of layers of hard & soft steel, and then etching them with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility & toughness to the steel, and the hard & soft in the edge act much like micro-serrations that aid cutting. The knife is presented with a storage pouch.
